The GRUTTEE (University Research Group on Water Treatment and Purification Technologies) is an association that brings together French academics and researchers working in the field of water treatment and related areas, including wastewater management, drinking water production, industrial effluent treatment, and water resource protection.

This network gathers research expertise from a wide range of disciplines, such as chemistry, microbiology, physicochemistry, biology, process engineering, public health, and social sciences, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration to address current and future challenges in water management and environmental protection.

PHYBIOMED at the 16th International GRUTTEE Congress – Marseille, France

As part of the PHYBIOMED project, Dr. Lokmane Abdelouahed and PhD candidate Dounia-Zed Souitah participated in the 16th International GRUTTEE Congress held in Marseille, France, from 31 March to 2 April 2026.

The congress brought together researchers and experts in water treatment and purification technologies, providing a valuable platform for scientific exchange and collaboration. During the event, the PHYBIOMED team presented two contributions on photocatalytic wastewater treatment and artificial intelligence-based modeling of pollutant degradation.

This participation contributed to increasing the visibility of PHYBIOMED, disseminating project results, and strengthening collaborations within the international water research community.
