The overall objective of the PHYBIOMED consortium is to develop an innovative and sustainable process for wastewater valorization. The project aims to transform wastewater pollutants from perceived waste into valuable resources that can be recovered and utilized for energy generation, biomass production, and other value-added applications. In parallel, the treated water will be reused for a range of purposes, contributing to resource efficiency, reducing environmental impacts, and promoting a circular economy approach.
